Welcome to our home
Purchased in 1904, the former nun?s house below the collegiate church and its abandoned orchard became for Henri Le Sidaner, if not the source of inspiration for some 300 paintings, a life-size work of art spanning 4,000 m2.
Roseraie, chemin de ronde, terraces, Temple de l'Amour, pergola, balustrades and statues: the artist conceived every detail, right down to the small summer studio set up in the Roseraie, where he produced his sketches, which he finished in the winter studio.
Labelled a "remarkable garden" and spread over three levels that slope down into terraces, the white garden, the rose garden and the yellow and blue garden featuring a Temple of Love (a perfect replica of the one at the Petit Trianon in Versailles) are all independent gardens, linked by steep paths winding beneath the trees.
