Les coteaux du Thérain

Near Beauvais, the Coteaux du Thérain overlook the Thérain valley, dotted with ponds, pastures and hay meadows. They form a mosaic of natural environments, with woods, recolonizing thickets and grasslands. The woods are predominantly ash-acacia and beech-calcareous.

The site's richness comes from the area of dry grassland still present despite its abandonment. The grasslands of the Fouquenies commune are therefore of particular interest, with the presence of 19 heritage species of Picardy flora, including very fine stations of Phalangère rameuse and Digitale jaune.
