Imbued with all the warmth and melancholy of childhood impressions, Duncan Macmillan?s Toutes les choses géniales is as light-hearted as its subject is serious: we follow the story of one person?s experience of the loss of a loved one through a simple, playful exchange with the audience.

Behind the story of this singular journey, the play invites us all to question our relationship with life and death, with an invigorating sense of humor. Without mawkishness, and with a direct relationship with the audience, actor Didier Cousin flirts with stand-up, rhythms his motley list to the music of Cab Calloway, Billie Holiday? and ultimately offers a show that finds in the different stages of life all the reasons to carry on until the next one. It starts with a list of childhood favorites: ice cream, water fights, roller coasters? and ends with the actor and audience questioning what makes life worth living.
