PHOTAUMNALES : HORS JEUX / Les photographes regardent le sport

Fêtes et manifestations

From 16 September to 31 December 2023

In 2023, the festival will be 20 years old, and this anniversary will be an opportunity to highlight the loyal artists and institutions that have supported us over these two decades.

HORS JEUX will address the theme of sport in the run-up to the Olympics in July 2024. For the festival, this is an opportunity to showcase photographers who question this subject in the field, but also through the side-step of more offbeat approaches. Sport will thus be explored through a wide variety of approaches (events, sociology of practices, sporting landscapes, exaltation of the body, portraits, etc.). This 20th edition of Photaumnales features forty exhibitions for the general public in the former Picardie region, in the heart of the city of Beauvais, the Argentine district and the Parc Dassault. The festival is strengthening its presence in rural areas, in close proximity to local residents, in 9 small towns in the Beauvaisis conurbation, as well as in the Clermont-Ferrand area and in the towns of Amiens, Creil, Berck-sur-Mer, Estrées-Saint-Denis, Montreuil-sur-Brèche and Noyon. This edition is part of the Cultural Olympiad in the Hauts-de-France region. Festival director: Fred Boucher / Curator in residence: Emmanuelle Halkin
